Every Booking Comes with a Personalised Travel Guide — Aligned Exactly to Your Dates

StayPrestige Editorial·

The Missing Piece of a Luxury Booking

You have booked the hotel. You have the confirmation email, the itinerary, maybe a pre-arrival note from the property. What you do not have — yet — is a proper plan.

Most travellers solve this the hard way: hours of browsing, a TripAdvisor tab open next to a Google Maps tab, a note on your phone that keeps getting out of date. Then you arrive, and half the restaurants on your list are closed on Mondays, the concert you wanted to see sold out, and the spa you'd set your heart on doesn't take walk-ins.

At StayPrestige, this is no longer your problem to solve. Every booking on our platform comes with a bespoke, magazine-quality travel guide, automatically generated, personalised to your destination, and aligned to the exact dates you'll be there. It arrives in your inbox shortly after you book. It is included. Always.

What's Actually Inside Your Guide

The guide is not a generic city brochure. It is a curated document built specifically for your stay, at your hotel, on your dates. Inside, you'll find:

Wellness & Spa

Two or three hand-picked wellness experiences near your hotel — whether that's the spa at a neighbouring five-star property, a hammam in the old quarter, or a cold plunge ritual in a converted basilica. Each one is vetted, described in rich detail, and mapped from your hotel.

Restaurants

A shortlist of five or so restaurants within easy reach, chosen not just for ratings but for character — a third-generation trattoria, a sushi omakase, the rooftop that everyone in town stops pretending they don't care about. Each entry includes distance, rating, a meaningful description, and the reason it made the list.

Bars & Lounges

Where the city actually drinks. Classic hotel bars, neighbourhood wine lists worth crossing town for, and the one speakeasy that still requires knowing the name of the back door.

Live Music — On Your Exact Dates

This is the part that most guides miss. Your guide pulls concert and festival calendars from the major ticketing platforms — Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, SeatGeek — and shows only what is playing while you're there. If the Rolling Stones are in Rome the night after your check-out, you won't see them. If there's an intimate jazz set in a basement venue on your Wednesday, you will.

Theatre

West End openings, off-Broadway runs, regional stages, opera, ballet — everything live on stage during your dates, filtered for quality and proximity.

Comedy

Stand-up nights, improv clubs, the one comedy festival in town — included when the calendar has something worth seeing.

Sports

Matches, games, and tournaments on your dates — football, baseball, tennis, boxing, motorsport. If the local derby is playing while you're there, you'll know.

Local Happenings

The harder-to-catch stuff. Markets, gallery openings, food festivals, seasonal traditions — the things that make a city feel alive in a particular week rather than just any week.

How Your Guide Is Built

The guide is produced by a multi-stage pipeline within minutes of your booking, and refined over the following hours into the final document.

  1. Event sourcing. We query multiple major ticketing and events platforms simultaneously, returning everything available within a 5km radius of your hotel during your stay window. De-duplicated, sorted, and capped so each category is curated, not dumped.
  2. Venue curation. Our AI pipeline then suggests venues by category, tuned to match the style of your hotel and the tone of the city. A five-star resort in Nusa Dua gets different bar recommendations than a palazzo in Venice.
  3. Validation. Every venue is cross-checked against Google Places for real-world data: current opening hours, address, rating, phone, photos, and — crucially — whether the place is actually still open this month.
  4. Composition. The guide is then typeset — genuinely typeset — into a magazine-quality HTML document, complete with hero photography, category banners, per-venue photos, and rich prose descriptions written in a concierge voice.
  5. Delivery. The finished guide lands in your inbox via email, with a preview hero image, a table-of-contents teaser, and a CTA button to the full interactive version. You'll also find it permanently available from your "My Trips" dashboard.

The whole process runs in the background. You do not have to request the guide, fill in a preferences form, or click a "generate" button. It just arrives.

Why Dated-to-Your-Stay Matters

General city guides are useful up to a point, but they age badly. A restaurant on a "best of Paris" list may have closed since the article was written. The play you wanted to see closed last week. The jazz residency moved to Tuesdays. Most "best of" content has no temporal awareness at all.

Your StayPrestige guide does. It is re-generated for the exact dates of your booking, and the events section shows only what is live on those dates. This is the single detail that turns a generic recommendation document into a functional travel plan — and it is almost impossible to replicate by hand in the hour or two most people give to trip planning.

A Guide That Actually Travels With You

The guide is designed for how people actually use documents during a trip.

  • Online-first. A clean, magazine-quality web view at a dedicated URL, designed for reading on a phone or laptop, shareable with your travel companion.
  • Email preview. A snapshot in your inbox with the hero image, a grouped table of contents, and the link — so you can forward it to the person travelling with you without them needing a StayPrestige account.
  • Print-friendly. Hit print and the guide reformats to a clean, ink-light PDF with the imagery stripped out and the typography kept — perfect for slipping into your carry-on.
  • Offline-accessible. Save the page to your phone's reading list before you leave; everything you need is inside.

Samples of What Guests Use It For

A few real examples of how guests have used the guide in the last few months:

  • A couple in Lisbon discovered via their guide that a fado club two streets away was hosting a special anniversary performance on their one free evening. They walked over after dinner. It became the memory of the trip.
  • A family in Bali found a Balinese dance performance on their guide that they'd never have searched for independently. All three generations went. It's now a recurring request every time they rebook.
  • A business traveller in New York used the guide's restaurant list to pick a pre-theatre dinner in under 90 seconds — something he said he usually spent 45 minutes on.
  • A wellness traveller in Koh Samui used the spa section to shortlist three contrasting experiences (traditional Thai massage, a Japanese onsen-style bathhouse, a Western hot-cold circuit) and booked one per day.

What It Costs You

Nothing. The guide is included in every StayPrestige booking at no additional cost, regardless of the room rate, the property, or whether you redeemed loyalty points for the stay. It is not a premium add-on. It is how a StayPrestige booking is supposed to feel.

Book Once, Arrive Prepared

Every luxury hotel booking you make should feel like it came with someone who knew the city personally and spent an afternoon mapping your week. That is the thing we've been quietly building into every StayPrestige reservation — because the booking is only the start of the trip, and the guide is where the trip actually begins.

Next time you check in, the guide will be waiting. You'll notice the difference on the first evening.
